Fanuc RoboDrill Pallet Changer PC2

The fast and capable RoboDrill machine center coupled with a pallet
changer for JIT setups, makes this model the ultimate job shop production
center. The pallet changer allows the machine spindle to keep working
while additional setups or unloading operations are going on.
The RoboDrill Pallet changer can be
adapted from low production runs and
JIT production, to high volume
production quickly. The pallet changer
moves the pallet in and out of the
machine in just 6 seconds. Moving
4th axis and hydraulics is simple and
easy as well.
Steelmaster SMW Line

- Advantages
- working temperature
- Clean parts
- High quality finish
- No material contamination
- No external dust collector needed
- No saturation of abrasives
- Dry parts
- These are all advantages of a wet operating machine. Over the years, Steelmaster has perfected
its line of wet operating machines called SMW. A Steelmaster SMW distinguishes itself from its
competitors by using state of the art techniques, which make it easy and safe to operate.
The Steelmaster SMW comes in three working widths:
- 950 mm / 37"
- 1350 mm / 53"
- 1650 mm / 65"
- The Steelmaster SMW can be equipped with up to 4 heads, either abrasive belts or brushes, however, a combination of these two features is common.
- Easy maintenance
- The Steelmaster SMW has covers that can simply be removed to ensure high accessibility of the interior. All critical parts of the machine are stowed in the
dry zone. This dramatically enhances the lifespan of the Steelmaster SMW. Just rinse the inside of the machine after a day’s work and you’re done.
- Low working temperature
- A Steelmaster SMW operates under a low working temperature. This keeps the parts from warping or deforming. It also doesn’t affect the surface structure
of the material that is being processed. This results in a much higher quality when using a press brake after deburring.
- Clean parts
- Metal dust and abrasive particles are flushed down during the process of wet deburring or finishing. This
ensures that no particles stay on the work pieces so that they don’t damage the knives of press brakes
afterwards.
- High quality finish
- The lubricating effect of the coolant allows the abrasives to achieve a much higher finish than in a dry operation. Dry operation usually gets a finish up to
#4 or grit 400*. With the right abrasives a wet operation can get up to high gloss mirror finish.
* Finer finishes are possible using special abrasives
- No material contamination
- All day process of materials such as: aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel etc. is not a problem when operating a wet machine. The coolant flushes down
all the particles from the previous process eliminating the chance of material contamination.
- No external dust collector needed
- All particles are flushed down into an integrated filtration system*. No external dust collector is necessary; which
means there is no need for ductwork or additional space to fit a dust collector.
- No saturation of abrasives
- Punched or sheared parts always leave a small residue or oil film on the sheets. This oil film, in combination with metal dust particles, can clog up the
abrasives, leaving traces on the parts and, as a result, causing lower quality finishes.
- Dry parts
- When operating a wet machine, many people assume that the parts are wet when they leave the machine. The
Steelmaster SMW has a drying zone that dries the parts from all sides. The air knives that are in the drying zone
blow the part dry and clean.
- Longer lifespan of abrasives
- Wear and tear on abrasive belts and brushes are considerably reduced in a wet operation, because the abrasives are less saturated. Furthermore, due to
the less aggressive grinding and deburring operation, the lifespan of the abrasives increases compared to a dry operation.
